Usage

This template is part of a series that resolves the ISO 639-1, ISO 639-2 and ISO 639-3 codes to language names.

It is used by the template {{Lang}} with language code is to include articles in Category:Articles containing Icelandic-language text. For example: {{Lang |is |some text in Icelandic}}, which wraps the text with <span lang="is">. Also available is {{Lang-is |some text in Icelandic}} which displays as Icelandic: some text in Icelandic.

It is used by {{is icon}} and {{Link language|is}} to display the language of an external link. These templates could add articles to Category:Articles with Icelandic-language external links, if the category was created (using {{Non-English-language external links category |code=is |name=Icelandic}}).
