Usage
Template:ISO 639 name sv is part of a series that resolves the ISO 639-1, ISO 639-2 and ISO 639-3 codes to language names.
It is used by {{Translated page}} with language code sv, for example: {{Translated page |sv |name of page at Swedish Wikipedia}}. This template is used to generate a link to the Swedish Wikipedia and to include pages in Category:Pages translated from Swedish Wikipedia.
Former usage
The following templates now use Module:Lang, which stores the language code and name data in Module:Language/data/iana languages, Module:Language/data/ISO 639-3, and Module:Language/data/wp languages.
- {{Lang|sv| some text in Swedish}} wraps the text with <span lang="sv"> and includes articles in Category:Articles containing Swedish-language text. Also available is {{Lang-sv |some text in Swedish}} which displays as Swedish: some text in Swedish.
- {{R from other language|sv|("to" language code)}} includes pages in Category:Redirects from Swedish-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect from alternative language category}}).
- {{R from alternative language|("from" language code)|sv}} includes pages in Category:Redirects to Swedish-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect to alternative language category}}).
