The Infobox cricket tournament main template may be used to summarise information about a general cricket article of Tournaments/series. However, do not use for specific tours, series or tournaments; please use Template:Infobox cricket tournament for a specific tournament, Template:Infobox cricket tour for a specific tour, and Template:Infobox cricket series for a specific series or 3-team tournament.

The infobox may be added by pasting the template as shown below into an article. None of the parameters are required to be included or filled for it to work, it is fully flexible and changeable. If the name parameter isn't included, the name shown at the top of the infobox will be the name of the Wikipedia page the infobox is on. If name is included but left blank, the infobox will not display a name.
