Thomas Alexander Mellon (February 3, 1813 – February 3, 1908) was a Scotch-Irish-American, entrepreneur, lawyer, and judge. He was best known as the founder of Mellon Bank and patriarch of the Mellon family of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.[1] He was business partners with Andrew Carnegie.
