Anil Maan, (born 21st March 1973) is a politician, businessman and an International boxer, hailing from Hisar, a small town of Haryana. He was born in a middle class family to Chanderbhan Maan (father) and Memkaur Maan (mother). As a young child he was always enthusiastic about the things going around him and had a sharp sense of observation. From playing in the streets with friends, he took keen interest in boxing and started with basic training on his own, as his family’s financial conditions didn’t allow him to pursue training under a coach. It was due to his hard work and dedication that his father decided to get him trained professionally.

After playing and winning at various tournaments at district and state level, Anil won gold in the National games in the year 1994, 1995 and 1997.

Being in the national camp for five years, he won silver as well as gold at many other National level boxing tournaments. Anil had also won thrice at the All India University Championship.

Anil extended his dimensions by participating at various International boxing tournaments and bringing glory to the country.

After getting married in the year 1996, Anil bid adieu to his boxing career and turned towards setting up his business. Today he is a successful businessman running an International chain of schools. Lately he is trying his luck in politics. He is an active member of Congress party and contesting elections from Nalwa, Hisar.

Anil Maan was born on 21st March 1973, in Hisar, Haryana in a Jaat family. His father Chanderbhan Maan was a farmer, his mother Memkaur Maan was a housewife. Out of the three children in the family, he is the youngest one. Boxing was his passion and dream, therefore at a very young age he started his training on his own but later got trained under a professional coach.

Being into a middle class family, his life was never easy. He lost his mother at a very young age, which was definitely a great blow on his young mind. His father tried to fulfill all the desires of his children by working really hard in the field. Despite of unfavorable family conditions, Anil has always been an asset for his family and proved his worth when he started gaining recognition through boxing.

Boxing Career[change | change source]

Anil started his career at a very young age and won medals at various District and state level tournaments. He won the All India University Boxing tournaments thrice and bagged gold everytime. He won gold at National Games in the year 1994, 1995 and 1997. He also went on to win various International boxing tournaments.

Business[change | change source]

Anil after a successful boxing career shifted his interest towards business. He tried on with many things but successfully settled himself with an international chain of schools. His dream project was to make his native place Hisar an educational hub, to provide the students of Haryana all the world-class facilities in academics, sports and co-curricular activities.

Politics

In the year 2018, Anil as a businessman was at a peak of his career, when he decided to enter into politics. He joined the Congress party and is now contesting elections from Nalwa, Hisar. He has now been appointed as the National Kishan Congress  Joint Coordinator and appointed as in charge of the districts of Hisar, Bhiwani, Jind, Fatehabad, Sirsa, Rohtak, and Jhajjar. In a short span of time, he is doing really well for the welfare of the farmers and rights of the underprivileged.
