Colin formed from a tropical wave which left the west coast of Africa on May 27. The wave moved westward over the tropical Atlantic, reaching the Caribbean Sea by June 1.[1]
Preparations[change | change source]
When Colin formed, a tropical storm warning was issued for the west coast of Florida from Englewood to Indian Pass. A tropical storm watch was also issued from the the Flagler–Volusia county line to the Altamaha River in Georgia six hours later.[2][3]
