Vilchega is a BA major student in WKU. She is interested in HRM and psychology. She is doing a 'research' with professor and teammates.During the freshman year in WKU, she took courses like MKT, MGS, GE, ENG and COMM. And in softmore year, she is going to take other courses like ACCT, and keep studing MGS and ENG courses.

Human resource management, or HRM, involves coordinating, managing, and allocating human capital, or employees, in ways that move an organization’s goals forward. HRM focuses on investing in employees, ensuring their safety, and managing all aspects of staffing from hiring to compensation and development.


HRM careers may specialize in compensation, training, or managing employees. Most HRM professionals hold a bachelor’s degree and some go on to pursue a master's degree. HRM professionals at all levels can also earn professional certifications to help build knowledge and increase earning potential. HRM’s goal is to build a company culture and carry out its mission and overall goals through the management of employees.

Psychology is the study of the mind and behavior. It arose as a discipline distinct from philosophy in the late 19th century. The mind is so complex and so dynamic—it is changing as you read these words—and so much of its information processing happens below the level of conscious awareness that experts have long struggled to understand its functions and dysfunctions.


In addition, human behavior is so varied that psychology extends its reach into many areas of activity. In general, research psychologists are those who study the many operations of the mind. Those who treat the dysfunctions are clinical psychologists, while many other experts in psychology apply their knowledge of human behavior in fields ranging from economics to sports to hospital design.
