{{help}} I am new to simple.wikipedia.org. Can anybody guide me? I am very well adapted to en.wiki. But I can't find teahouse here! First, can any editor please tell me how is simple.wiki different from en.wiki?

Hello Acagastya and welcome to the simple English Wikipedia. Firstly, we don't have a teahouse. We usually simply put everything at WP:ST, which is pretty much used for everything. As for the difference: We are much simpler structure than enwiki. We are much smaller and don't need any substructure you find on enwiki. From the article point of view, the main difference is, that we use simple wordings and short sentences. We try to use active voice instead of passive voice. We probably set more links than enwiki. Actually, we link ever word that might be too complex to understand for our readers. I think that sums it up pretty much. However, writing simple English isn't actually easier than writing normal English! I'll leave you our welcome template below, where you can find some links, which you may want to take a look at. :-) -Barras talk 19:08, 10 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! I am assuming you have come over from the English Wikipedia, so you are probably familiar with the way this wiki works. I hope you like it here and decide to stay. Here are a few links to help you adjust:

There is much to do here. For example, there are a lot of articles that do not exist yet, which you can bring over from the English Wikipedia and simplify. Do have a look around and see what you would like to do. Thank you for joining us, and you know how to contact me if you need help. Barras talk 19:08, 10 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
