Some thoughts...[change source]

I look first for these things:

  1. Is it notable? and how does it show this?
  2. Is it true? and how does it show this?
  3. Is the content copied from some other place? Is the source acknowledged?
  4. Is the language simple enough for our readership?

We allow you to bring over text from English wiki so long as this is acknowledged. But most of their writing is almost unreadable to our target audience. Everything has to be said simply. Sheer bulk of text is a cause of many troubles, because it takes a really expert writer to handle 20,000 words. So bring over less. The plot section here is much too long, and the very interesting story of the book's sales is left to the end. Why not bring that higher up? Capture the reader's interest early on, or they may not get to the good bits!

Next, try to write simply. I don't mean just use simple words, but say things so an intelligent ten-year old could understand. (This depends on the subject-matter, of course.)

I will add proper attribution for the user when the article is mainspaced. I will take other factors into account when helping the user. Thanks, George Edward CTalkContributions 18:13, 1 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Macdonald-ross and George.Edward.C: I'm an native speaker of English if you guys are thinking that I'm not. I'm not sure that I understand you when you say, "Move things up". Could you clarify please?Amanda Atom (talk) 13:50, 3 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
