Errors? Yeah, so I'll report it...[change source]

Last RecentChanges edit was this and the edit summary was "RfD: 3 RfA: 1 ER: 1 DYK]: *6* PVGA: *3* PGA: *6* PAD: 0 " - can you remove the ] after the DYK please? Also, what does "DYK: [6" really mean? The link in the summary to DYK shows nothing relating to six..... Cheers, ta, thanks a lot. The Rambling Man (talk) 19:18, 10 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The number after DYK is simple the number of unreviewed DYK hooks. Barras (talk) 19:21, 10 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
So the DYK link should go to the right page. And the [ needs to go. The Rambling Man (talk) 19:27, 10 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Erm, not sure I get you? Typo is removed from the edit summary, what else needs changing? The DYK number is the number of bare DYK hooks that have had no input at all, if you wish it could be expanded to the number on there or removed altogether. Please let me know :). I think the bot's link to DYK should be to the page with the literal number of hooks that need reviewing, not DYK in general. Unless that link has changed in the past half hour, I think it just goes to DYK which shows nothing which has "six" of anything that needs dealing with. The Rambling Man (talk) 20:13, 10 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I think that it's fixed, if that's what you mean? Goblin 21:10, 10 September 2009 (UTC) I ♥ Nifky![reply]

A1A?!?! :P Silly gargoyle! Goblin 21:26, 10 September 2009 (UTC) I ♥ Chenzw! Click the link for it to make sense ;)[reply]

Hi there! Can your bot please add to the WP:RC this page, because there are now two articles listed. It belongs to the "Article Improvement" section. I think I removed this pages some months ago, because it was dead. But it is now alive. Barras (talk) 11:13, 12 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

RFA Error.[change source]

Edit summary was "Updating Current Statistics: RfD: *1* RfA: *0* ER: 0 DYK: 3 PVGA: 3 PGA: *5* PAD: 0" and there is an RFA currently in progress. Not sure why the bot missed it.--Gordonrox24 | Talk 15:25, 15 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

ER should be 2 and RfA 1... Pmlineditor  15:27, 15 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm... seems I disabled RfA & ER in the testing I was doing earlier and didn't re-enable it. Oops. Cheers for pointing it out guys! Goblin 15:31, 15 November 2009 (UTC) I ♥ Shappy![reply]

bot timing[change source]

Since your bot updates right after something is added, it could potentially edit several times in a short amount of time. Could you have the bot update every 30 minutes? Griffinofwales (talk) 12:19, 16 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Short answer; No. Long answer; It really doesn't matter. Lots of edits in a short amount of time really doesn't matter at all. This wiki needs to stop it's obsession with flooding. I won't be changing the timings on the bot for that reason. (It's also not straight after; there is a two or three minute wait.) Cheers, Goblin 15:42, 16 November 2009 (UTC) I ♥ Shappy![reply]
OK, if you don't want to, then that will be the end of that. However, the bot edits right after the edit is made (I checked RC). A 5 minute delay would be nice. Thanks. Griffinofwales2 (talk) 16:04, 16 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I can't be bothered to code in five minutes after the previous edit. It's now on a 5 minute "cron" though, which means that the script will run every five minutes and edit if there are any changes - this could mean seconds after an update, it could mean 5 minutes. At this point in time I won't be changing the timings further - i'm trying to consolidate GB1 into GB5 and also add in updating of Most Wanted - that's more important than edit rate and flooding (or not). That works. Thanks for explaining it. Griffinofwales2 (talk) 16:34, 16 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hey GB7. I think that the bot is still missing the editor reviews... I'm not 100% sure, but I think it is. Take a look. Thanks!--Gordonrox24 | Talk 11:56, 18 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
