Creating talk pages[change source]

Hello, Lepricavark. Thank you for your edits here. I noticed that you created several article talk pages. If the only thing on a talk page is a talk header, there is no need to create the page: it can be created when someone wants to discuss the page. If there is anything else on the page, such as a {{blp}} template, then it's OK. I'm going to delete the talk pages that have only the talk header. If you have any questions about this, feel free to ask. --Auntof6 (talk) 16:47, 11 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for letting me know this. I won't create any more talk pages with just the talk header. Lepricavark (talk) 16:53, 11 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Lepricavark. FYI, I changed one of the categories you put on Category:National Baseball Hall of Fame members, from Category:Baseball players to Category:Baseball people. That's because not all the people in the HOF are players: there are also managers and others. --Auntof6 (talk) 16:36, 13 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

That makes sense. Thanks for cleaning up after me. Lepricavark (talk) 16:38, 13 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

April 2017[change source]

Hello! Thank you for creating Category:St. Louis Browns. However, we normally need at least three pages in a category before it is created. Because categories are a way to group together similar articles, there is no need to create a new category for just one or two articles. If you think there might be more pages to add to the new category, please add them now. Thank you. The same goes for Category:St. Louis Browns players. I'll keep that in mind in the future if I continue contributing here. I wish I could have had a little more time to work on those categories before they were deleted, however. I was very enthusiastic about expanding baseball coverage here, but after having two hours worth of work deleted, I'm not so sure. Those categories would have included more than three articles apiece if I had been given time to create the articles. I don't know why they needed to be deleted so quickly. I'm sorry about that. The reason is documented in our guideline at Wikipedia:Categories#Is there a need for the new category?. Some of the categories you created are still there, but will be tagged with {{popcat}}. It would be great if you could address those first so that they don't also get deleted. If you'd like to know more about things that are different here, I have a list at User:Auntof6/Things I would like Wikipedia editors to know#Things we do here that might be different from other Wikis. Feel free to ask any questions you have about it. --Auntof6 (talk) 16:34, 15 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure I'll be able to address those categories within the next few days as I'm going to be extremely busy in real life. I do intend to create many more articles, and I suppose I can recreate the categories later if that is really necessary. Lepricavark (talk) 17:48, 15 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

June 2017[change source]

Hello! Thank you for creating Category:Tampa Bay Rays managers. However, we normally need at least three pages in a category before it is created. Because categories are a way to group together similar articles, there is no need to create a new category for just one or two articles. If you think there might be more pages to add to the new category, please add them now. Thank you. Auntof6 (talk) 07:46, 13 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I made that two months ago. Unfortunately, there are no other articles I can add at this point. Lepricavark (talk) 10:47, 13 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
