Hi Matthew,
I changed a stub you started, Chevrolet Blazer, because the information you found had some mistakes and actually referred to two different models of Chevrolet SUVs—the S-10 and the K-5. I've owned both and I can tell you for a fact they are two different vehicles. Following the English Wikipedia, I changed the page to a disambiguation page, transwikied the Chevrolet S-10 Blazer page, and left three others as red links. If you'd be interested in copying and simplifying any or all of them here that would be great. Otherwise I could work on them later when I have some time. I looked at the enwiki pages on these and they're basically good as articles to transwiki. If you haven't read it yet, the guide Wikipedia:How to copy from another Wikipedia will help you. I have some more to do on the S-10 article, but not enough time at the moment. Feel free to improve it and if you have sources all the better. If you have any questions ask them here or at Wikipedia:Simple talk. Thanks, Rus User:Rus793 (talk) 20:11, 23 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Inadvertently making articles more complex[change source]

Matthew, the article Chevrolet Aveo is an example of adding more complex language to an already simplified article. We appreciate the improvements, however they need to be written in Basic English as much as possible. We try to use simple sentences and, as much as possible, Basic English words. Please see Wikipedia:How to write Simple English pages. I can be an adjustment to edit for enwiki and then for simplewiki. In addition to the language, there are some differences in our policies and guidelines. If you have any questions or would like any help at all, please ask here. Or you can post questions to Wikipedia:Simple talk (it is our version of the Village Pump). Thanks. User:Rus793 (talk) 14:25, 2 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Future releases[change source]

Matthew, I changed your good faith edit to Chevrolet Traverse. The reason is WP:CRYSTAL, future events that are not certain to happen. Carmakers make announcements of new models or improvements sometimes to keep their products in the news. Promised changes don't always happen when the reporter or manufacturers say they will. Case in point, the direct-injection Chrysler Pentastar engine did not come out until a full two model years after it was first promised. Also, it's not a good idea to use the nowiki markup in the text of an article for a reference. It prevents the reference from being placed in the ref section, but it does not hide the raw markup. If you are working on something and want to hide a reference temporarily, it is better to use a hidden note: <!-- hidden note --> Thank you for the good (and interesting) automotive articles. If you have any questions about this please ask. Thanks User:Rus793 (talk) 14:48, 11 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add or change content, as you did to Isuzu Rodeo, without verifying it by citing a reliable source. When using an existing source in the article, as you did with this edit, please be certain it supports the text you added. In this case it did not support the statement at all and was reverted. The goal of simplewiki is to be a reliable and authoritative source of information. Source citation exist to prove the validity of statements in articles. We can't just copy and paste a source citation for a statement without verifying it fully supports the statement. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and especially Wikipedia:No original research. In the case of the latter, understand we are not authors here we are editors. Authors create original content. Editors compile information from reliable, third-party, published sources and present it in their own words. We do not add information based on our own experience, knowledge or opinions. If you have any questions please ask them here or at Wikipedia:Simple talk. Thank you. December 2015[change source]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did to Chevrolet Aveo, without verifying it by citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. ''Also the text must be simplified—please see Wikipedia:How to write Simple English pages. User:Rus793 (talk) 14:49, 29 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

January 2016[change source]

Please stop adding unsourced and complex statements to articles as you did to Isuzu Rodeo. Your uncommunicative behavior and unwillingness to follow Wikipedia guidelines indicate you want to harm Wikipedia. If you continue you may be blocked from changing pages. User:Rus793 (talk) 19:21, 7 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Also, please read Wikipedia:No original research. If you have any questions please ask here or at Wikipedia:Simple talk. User:Rus793 (talk) 19:29, 7 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Stop changing it[change source]

(conversation moved here from Talk:Isuzu Rodeo)
We need to include that it was offered as a Honda Passport, that the second generation was rated marginal and that the Axiom and Ascender later replaced it. Matthew Cantrell (talk) 19:41, 7 January 2016 (UTC) Matthew Cantrell (talk) 19:41, 7 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Matthew Cantrell: OK, those kinds of facts should be cited by reliable sources the same as are in the article now. That's all that needs doing. "Wikipedia's Verifiability policy requires inline citations for any material challenged, or likely to be challenged, and for all quotations, anywhere in article space." Look, the information had to have came from somewhere. A source citation is just saying where you found it. It allows readers to verify the information came from reliable sources. It minimizes "mistakes" in articles and insures readers are getting good information. We aren't authors, we are editors. Editors gather information from reliable, third-party, published sources and cite these sources in the articles. If you would like any help with citing sources, locate them and I'll help you cite them. We have guidelines that help you determine what is and what is not a reliable source. It really isn't very hard at all and it makes a lot less work for other editors. BTW, this would have been more appropriate for your own talk page as it shows you are trying to communicate and learn as an editor. If you'd like to move it there go right ahead. The information can go in the article, but it needs good sources. You also need to write simple sentences. I can help you with that also. User:Rus793 (talk) 22:40, 7 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
To help you find sources I located this one [1]. It shows the Honda Passport was a rebadged Rodeo. If you want to detail the start year and last year you'll need a different source. But this verifies the Passport was a Rodeo. The source citation template used in the article is:
<ref>{{cite web |url= |title= |author= |date= |website= |publisher= }}</ref> (in case you'd like to copy and save it).
The url, title, publisher and date are the minimum needed to fill in. As for the second generation Rodeos being rated marginal, that should be doable on finding a reliable source that supports the statement. The replacement vehicle is also worth mentioning, but the replacement to the replacement is beyond the scope of the article. Does this help? Would you like any help finding other sources? Since I basically sourced the article, edited some and marked it patrolled, it is on my watchlist. I would be interested in seeing it expanded to a full article. There is a lot to do creating automotive articles here. Your contributions have been and are appreciated. Thanks User:Rus793 (talk) 15:20, 8 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
