Valdete Idrizi

Valdete Idrizi (born 1973)[1] is the director of an NGO in Mitrovica that helps young people, women, and displaced people. In 2008 she received an International Women of Courage Award. [2] For six years prior to 2008, Community-Building Mitrovica was the only organization in Mitrovica which encouraged reconciliation and rebuilding of relationships between ethnic Albanians and Serbs.[3]

Idrizi was born in Mitrovica, a city in Kosovo. She went to the University of Pristina in Mitrovica.
