Vitaminfood is a Dutch complete nutrition company encompassing a variety of meal replacement[3] solutions and sports supplements, produced by Vitaminfood Company Limited. Founded in November 2016 by Bakir and Funda Ikanovic, this nutritional company set out to provide nutritionally complete diets. Funda Ikanovic (33) previously worked in the financial world as an insurance agent after her [degree] in marketing. Bakir Ikanovic (40) completed a bachelor's degree in real estate and has a company for cleaning of large ships. Together they founded the meal replacement company, Vitaminfood in November 2016.
Meal replacements[4] are liquid diets[5][6] in form of dissolved nutrient solutions taken as an alternative to solid meals. "If war was to break out, they'd be fine," said Bakir in a media interview because of how much powder nutrition they have at their place. The meal replacements have been certified as safe for human consumption and meet the required nutritional standards.

Vitaminfood Experience Cafe[change | change source]
Vitaminfood experience cafe is a vegan food restaurant located in Meent 42A, 3011 JK, Rotterdam. The Vitaminfood Cafe provides an extensive menu of vegan diets[7][8][9] with great ambiance. It is meant to give an in-person experience of the Vitaminfood company and its powder nutrition products and packaged meal replacements.
Commercial venture[change | change source]
The manufacturing plant is in Veenendaal, one of the oldest cities in the Netherlands. The Vitaminfood meal replacement bags once produced are stored in Barendrecht, near Rotterdam. In the early days of the company, after conception, Bakir and Funda handled most of the orders. Writing tickets, packaging orders, shipping orders and customer relationship management. They operated majorly from their home working the afternoons and in shifts. The powder production was outsourced but closely monitored.
Initially, the company sold 100 bags a day on average which equals 300 meals. The number has definitely grown over time factoring in their expansion and international market.[10]
Vitaminfood for life initiative[change | change source]
Vitaminfood is a sustainable food production organization trying to make a meaningful contribution toward ending world hunger. Through the Vitaminfood for life initiative which is in partnership with World Food Programme and the Share a Meal program, Vitaminfood has donated over 10,000 meals and counting. #Vitaminfoodaid Vitaminfood promotes plant-based diets for their sustainability via reduced carbon footprint,[11][12] and animal rights.[13][14][15] Through the Vitaminfood for life initiative which is in partnership with World Food Programme and the Share a Meal program, Vitaminfood has donated over 10,000 meals and counting. Based majorly in the Netherlands, Vitaminfood[16] has a community of devoted consumers who swear by Vitaminfood for their gym gains, quick lunch-break fix and nutritionally complete solutions for their camping getaways. The community is moderately active sharing regularly on their socials and flaunting the Vitaminfood Archived 2022-03-28 at the Wayback Machine merchandise.
