- I saw a link to it on en, saw that it needed a lot of work, and I decided to join.

- Last year freenode had a volunteer drive. I applied, and I was one of the people they picked.
What should people do if they are interested in becoming a Freenode staff member?
- Helpful users are usually asked if they would like to volunteer.
