What is 'whiping'?[change source]

I'm a native English speaker but I do not understand "whiping". My best guess for quite a simple adjective is whining. 84.64.154.2 19:17, 2 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's possible the editor had in mind "whipping" or "wiping" as well. You're right, though. Whiping is not a word. I'm going to remove it and if someone wants to replace it with one of the words we suggested, they can. · Tygartl1·talk· 19:23, 2 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I agree, but I ruled out wiping or whipping because as adjectives, they are particularly obscure and surely not part of simple English. I might only get a clue to their meaning by context, such as a "wiping blow" perhaps or a "whipping gust of wind".--84.64.154.2 20:28, 3 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Big or small letters?[change source]

I do not understand why so many words of the list begin with a big letter. (hard soft Heavy Light strong Weak). A simple word ist not the beginning of a sentence. I never saw this in any dictionary. If nobody can say a reason to leave it like that, I will change it. 87.160.159.13 (talk) 12:44, 20 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

As it is a list, the starting letters should all be capitalized. At one time it was, but automated edits seems to have screwed this up.-- Creol(talk) 12:54, 20 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
