Frances McDormand (born 23 June 1957) is an American movie, television and stage actress. She won the Academy Award for "Best Actress" for her portrayal of Marge in 1996's Fargo. She was nominated three times for "Best Supporting Actress". Frances was born in Chicago, Illinois. She is married to Joel Coen since 1984 and has two adopted sons. They currently live in New York City.
