iOS 17 is the seventeenth release of the iOS mobile operating system developed by Apple. It was announced on June 5, 2023 at Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference and was publicly released on September 18, 2023 as the successor to iOS 16.[1]

Features[change | change source]

iOS 17 adds interactive widgets to iPhones. These widgets work on different screens, like the Home Screen and Lock Screen. They help you finish reminders, control music, and manage Home app accessories. Third-party apps can now also use these features in the future. Before, there were rules limiting what widgets could do, but now they can scroll, use buttons, and have animations on the Home Screen.[1]
