The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are smartphones made by Apple. They are the ones after the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. These phones were introduced at an Apple event.[2][1] It happened in September 2022. Customers could preorder it on September 9th, and buy it on September 16th.[3] Following the introduction of the iPhone 15 Pro, these phones are now discontinued.

Features[change | change source]

The iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max have a display cutout called "Dynamic Island".[4][5][6] This replaces the notch design that were on iPhones since the iPhone X. It also has an always on display.[7] That means when you "turn off" the phone, the screen stays dim. They can also call emergency services and send location through a satellite.[8][9]

In the United States, the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max (as well as the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus) dont have SIM cards.[10] This means they don't have a separate slot for inserting a SIM card.[11] Instead, they use eSIM.[12]

They come with iOS 16. They will be able to install other versions like iOS 17 when they come out.

The phone has an A16 Bionic Chip.[13][14][15]
