Moksha is the final goal for Hindus. In the Sanskrit language, "moksha" means freedom.Hindu scriptures explain that it is a state of eternal bliss and emptiness.According to Vedanta life is a endless circle of illusions. It is the goal of everyone to go towards Moksha from this materialistic world through the practice of Yoga viz Jnana Yoga(knowledge),Karma Yoga(work),Bhakti Yoga(through reciting and worshipping God).Moksha and Budhdhist Nirvana are same.Western scholars recognised it as spiritual enlightenment.Moksha is the Vedic term.Budhhism is the offshoot of Vedanta, while many of them do not agree.Budhhism formed as a rebellion against blind beliefs of Guatama's time.It is similar to the teachings of Upanishads.Hindu texts explain the Moksha as Sat-Chit-Anand.After Moksha, there is no birth and death cycle. It describes that the life you living is illusion, only the state of Moksha is eternal. For the comprehensive understanding of this topic read the books: 1.The complete works of Swami Vivekananda 2.Philosophia Ultima(commentaries on Mandukyopanishad) by Osho 3.Vedanta:Seven steps to Samadhi by Osho (Osho is the author of more than 650 books, his discourses are free to download on <http://oshoworld.com>
