The red cabbage is a type of cabbage. Its leaves are dark red/purple. However, the plant changes its color according to the pH of the soil. In acidic soils, the leaves grow more reddish. In neutral soils they will grow more purple. In alkaline soils, the will grow greenish-yellow. It can be found in Europe, the Americas, China and Africa.[1]
