I saw on your talk page that you can make awesome rainbow schemed signatures like:

I was wondering if you could make me a rainbow signature like the one above with a user page and talk page interwiki link. Thank you! SwirlBoy39 (talk) 15:43, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I am disappointed with this article. This page, at best, is just a collection of short stubs about many of the different events of World War I. Before I added some sources to the first part of the article, this whole article was completely unsourced. It would also seem that, by looking at the English Wikipedia's version of this article, that we are lacking in this article, and that some of the information presented in this article is either incorrect, or is unsourced. Clearly, this is an article that is critical to a Wikipedia, because of how big of a historical event it was, so shouldn't our version of this article be as in-depth and critical as some of the other Wikipedia's versions of this article? I recently thought that this article would be a good GA, but after going in-depth into this article, I have decided that this article would need a lot of work before I believe that it will be able to even be able to pass the GA requirements. I would like to suggest you take a look at this page and help to fix this article up to make it as good of a GA as possible. Thanks for reading this long message. Razorflame 15:13, 11 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'll be more than happy to help this article out. I'll get on to it.-- Lights  talk  15:17, 11 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I've already added the most pertinent stuff to the first paragraph. I would like to ask you to work on the remainder of the article. Razorflame 15:25, 11 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

User space redirects[change source]

I was going through the list of user pages and happen to notice you currently have 527 redirects for articles you created and moved. The complete list is here. As the list is already done, I can get those deleted in about 30 minutes (it took Tygrrr and Gwib over 2 hours working together to do a similar sized deletion run). If you would like me to take care of it, just let me know. -- Creol(talk) 20:22, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Could we get a bot to delete them? Oysterguitarist 20:24, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It would have to be an admin bot.. or we could bot an admin. But given as I can do it with AWB (and actually I could bot myself before hand and turn it off after to prevent 500+page flooding of new changes), deletion is only a two button procedure, since I don't even have to look at the pages before deletion in this case, I should be deleting as fast as the pages will load. Last big batch I did was at 13 deletes per minute but I had to briefly look at each one. This time I should be able to beat that rate. Jobs like these, I basically am an admin bot. -- Creol(talk) 21:47, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have finally decided that I would like you to create me a userpage design. I will give you these guidelines:

  • I like the colors red, cyan, limegreen.

Other than that....I am giving you complete freedom. I trust you to make it good.

Along with that, I give you permission to create a user talk page design for me too.

I also give you permission to implement them into both my talk page and my user talk page.

If you do this for me, you'll get lots of cookies :)

Wikibreak template[change source]

How do I use the Wikibreak template please? I need to put it onto my user page and user talk page because I'm going to be gone until March 31st. Cheers, Razorflame 21:12, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

{{wikibreak | Razorflame | back = March 31, 2008 | type = exams, attempting, short, long }}

The four types will appear like this:

Exams

Razorflame is taking a short wikibreak to get ready for exams and will be back on Wikipedia once the exams are over.

Attempting

Razorflame is trying to take a short wikibreak and will be back on Wikipedia March 31, 2008 hopefully. Most likely, however, Razorflame

will not be able to keep away from Wikipedia for that long, and will probably be back a lot earlier while making some small edits every once in a while anyway.

Short

Razorflame is taking a short wikibreak and will be back on Wikipedia March 31, 2008

Long

Razorflame is taking a long wikibreak and will be back on Wikipedia March 31, 2008

There are several other perimetres at Template:Wikibreak you can use. Btw, have a nice wikibreak:-)-- Lights  talk  21:20, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Request for the moons[change source]

Given your obvious area of interest, I have a request for three articles that fall within that area. Prior work has left us three of Saturn's moons that are highly linked to (from the other moons) but have not been created. Each article is causing 64 redlinks (65 when I hit save..) and are currently in our top ten most wanted articles.

Most of the other most wanted articles created by the asteroid articles are being slowly handled by others (astronomers and such), but as these seem to be exactly the type of articles you tend to focus on, I thought it a good idea to bring them to you personally. -- Creol(talk) 06:43, 23 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Simpleajaycloganberry[change source]

Why blocking Simpleajaycloganberry? He didn't really admit to being a sockpuppet, he simply stood up for Simple11 in his own userspace. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gwib (talkcontribs)

If you read what he put carefully, he said "Simple11 is a legend unblock that accoumt and i will stop this simple annoyance". If the accounts listed at RFCU are not Simple11, then this account is most likely a sock of those accounts. It could also be a meatpuppet of Simple11.-- Lights  talk  13:13, 29 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
If it isn't a sockpuppet, it is a meatpuppet, and in any case, his first edit shows he is not here for productive reasons. Majorly (talk) 13:15, 29 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Meatpuppet? I should know what a meatpuppet is, especially someone with my position. But please enlighten me? --Gwib -(talk)- 13:17, 29 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Is there a way to add a regex to the username blacklist to stop him from coming? Chenzw (talkchanges) 13:24, 29 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Probably. What phrases are always in his username? Majorly (talk) 13:33, 29 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

(unindenting) "Simple" or similar to that (siiiple, issimple etc). --Gwib -(talk)- 13:38, 29 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

And the number "11". (and sometimes the phrase "isback") Chenzw (talkchanges) 13:41, 29 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I just noticed that a previous confirmed sockpuppet of Simple11 was called loganberry1, so it seems we have to watch out for any user with "loganberry", as well as "simple", "Mitchye" or "Polopolo" in their usernames. --Gwib -(talk)- 14:19, 29 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well if someone could figure out the regex for adding that to the blacklist... unfortunately I wouldn't have any idea how... looking at this may help though. Majorly (talk) 14:18, 29 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
How about s(i+)mple(11?)(.*) and (polo+).* Chenzw (talkchanges) 02:14, 30 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
One problem with blacklisting the variant usernames is that it will just force him to pick names which are harder to identify. Right now it appears he is pushing mainly for the attention of the one pattern of user names. Each time a different piece in the puzzle is revealed. To restrict the choice in username without being able to restrict the IPs (away from his home) effectively will just cause more work for us. As the names are not in themselves offensive, let him have the rope to hang himself with. -- Creol(talk) 07:04, 30 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with Creol.-- Lights  talk  21:10, 30 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I'm also agreeing with Creol, backlisting the username with just make it harder to catch him or her, if we don't the usernames with probably be easy to spot as Simple11. Oysterguitarist 22:29, 30 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Lights, thanks for your comment. So to move a page I need to request a friendly admin's help? The Rambling Man (talk) 12:16, 10 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

See something[change source]

Can you please see this? Scrol down to see it. Claimgoal (talk) 11:28, 15 April 2008 (UTC).[reply]

As you might've noticed, I've started bringing over the list of asteroids from the English Wikipedia. The problem is the fact of how freaking long the list is :). I've already created the main templates that the pages use as well as the pages for the first 2,000 asteroids, however, I think you might be better suited to the job. I knew that such a list would be beneficial to you, so I started creating the list, however, the sheer number of pages that needs to be created is just too great for me to overcome at this time. There is 1 master page for each thousand asteroids that lists all the asteroids between those numbers, and then, there are 10 subpages for each hundred of the asteroids. This means that for each thousand asteroids, you would have to create 11 pages just to create the list. There are 182 pages for 182,000 asteroids, but there would be another 1,820 pages for the actual content of the list. Just thinking about that is freaking mind-boggling. This means that there would be 2,001 pages that would need to be created just to house this entire list. Because of the enormity of this list, I decided to just pretty much copy what the English Wikipedia has without doing much to it, so this is how I think we could make this work:

  • I create the pages for the lists.
  • You go in after me to clean up the lists.

This, of course, is completely up for debate because of the fact that I don't think we need the whole list yet. As we grow bigger, we can add more of the pages to the list as they get filled up, but I think that we are fine for now with the lists for the first 2,000 asteroids. What do you think? Let me know on my talk page.  :) Cheers, Razorflame 19:50, 15 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A little Java?[change source]

Another thing I would like to bring up is the fact that I've been learning how to program in Java, and over the course of the class that I've been taking at my highschool, one of the projects asked me to create a program to allow users to convert their weights from Earth weigth to any other planet in our solar system. I was wondering if you would like me to post up the code for you so that you can have it because I know you like planets? Would you like me to do that for you? Cheers, Razorflame 19:54, 15 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Coding is up at User:Razorflame/planets.js. After you've copied to code off of that page into a source on your computer, you are free to delete it :) Razorflame 20:04, 15 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

216 IP Address[change source]

Ocemotrove[change source]

I had no idea what to mark this as. It was a redirect to itself, so I couldn't use R2, so I decided to go with R1, but even then, R1 only applies to broken redirects, which I don't think it was. What do you think? Cheers, Razorflame 13:24, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think R1 applies to this. It didn't really redirect to a non-existent page, but it redirected to itself, and an actual page never existed.-- Lights  talk  13:27, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Logging in[change source]

Hey, this is Razorflame. I seem to be having trouble staying logged in. Every time I log in, I successfully log in, but then, whenever I go to edit a page, it automatically logs me out. Why do you think it is doing this? Is it doing this to you too? Cheers, Razorflame 13:40, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It could be a cookie problem. Its not doing this for me, but someting similar happened to me once it January, and it was normal about 10 minutes after it started.-- Lights  talk  13:43, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It keeps on saying that I am logged out when in fact, after I submit the edit, it says I'm logged in...interesting. Cheers, 216.56.2.62 (talk) 13:45, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Weird... you've been logged out after you saved this time. I'd suggest bringing this to Simple talk. I'm not a technical person so I can't help you much.-- Lights  talk  13:51, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I worked on that for so long. When I saw the tagged for deletion I was so terrified. Thanks, AmericanEagle 18:22, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That made my day! AmericanEagle 18:24, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Could you take a look at this article and see if you can simplify it further? It should be right up your alley, so cheers, Razorflame 20:19, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Undeletion[change source]

I created an article called Jack Schaap (he's a well-known pastor), a couple of days ago, but it got deleted because it didn't have the anything linked to it or things needing it. And also because the English version didn't have it (see my talk page), but that is only because it kept getting made wrong, and vandalized so only Admins' could make it. Can you try to undelete it (I made articles that he is needed for). Rather than my recreating the page (I plan to work on it). If you could, I'd appreciate it. Cheers, AmericanEagle 02:16, 19 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I don't think Jack Schaap is that notable; thats the reason why it got deleted from enWP. He only has 4,940 Google hits, and it usually takes around 50,000 to be included. If you want I can give you the content that was on the article so it can be merged into the article about the church or any articles that he is needed in. If you still think it should be undeleted, you should try using Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion. Happy editing,--Lights Deleted? 18:36, 19 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ya, I'll take it and put into the church for now. That is, if you could. Thank You, AmericanEagle 19:00, 19 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The content of the article is below hidden using <!-- -->. It can be seen in the editing screen.

Thanks for deleting the attack page you recently deleted (I can't remember what it was called but it was a mainspace page)! I was going to put {{non}} but you beat me to it. Necknoise 12:06, 21 April 2008 (UTC) P.S. It's me, Claimgoal![reply]

Signature issue?[change source]

I just fixed a mistake in the coding of your signature. It seems you forgot to add a </b> to the end of it. Cheers, Razorflame 18:47, 23 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Welcome message[change source]

Thanks for your welcome message. I'm a long-term Wikipedian but don't have any experience of writing Simple English, so any feedback you have as to whether the additions I made to Elizabeth Gaskell were in the right ballpark would be very helpful. Cheers, Espresso Addict (talk) 23:27, 23 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I just created this sports template and I can't get it to work. I put it on the first couple of articles listed their, but now it either will have this veiw*edit*talk on the top of the page, or the whole template goes to the bottom of the page. I don't know if you are good with these things, but you have a lot of awards and I saw you just made an edit. Can you figure it out? (it has lost me) Thanks ~ AmericanEagle 23:28, 23 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Somehow, Creol fixed it. I saw she removed the tnavbar thing, I guess that's what did it. I'm just glad its fixed. Cheers, AmericanEagle 01:49, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No, I don't know how to fix it (with or without the tnavbar). But I just wanted it fixed, and now it is. Thanks, AmericanEagle 02:01, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure if what you've added is ok, and no time to look closely, but I made one you might consider using if this keeps going:

(gsth[ao]e|with(out)?[ -]?tempo|tempo[ -]?with(out)?)

– Mike.lifeguard | @en.wb 00:17, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks a lot for the regex. I changed it. Cheers and happy editing,--Lights Deleted? 01:20, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What did you think of the program that I wrote as one of the projects for my programming class? I would love to hear any feedback or critism you might have on this project because I would love to improve it with any suggestions you might have. Cheers, Razorflame 14:22, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Works pretty good, I don't really have any suggestions. Cheers,--Lights Deleted? 12:02, 28 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Did you like the program? I liked it for a while, but I soon got bored with it. Now I only use it for reference in case I ever need to get my weight on other planets. Cheers, Razorflame 13:39, 28 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Barnstar[change source]

The Anti-Vandalism Barnstar
Thanks to you, the Simple English Wikipedia is vandalism free (or nearly). For that, I hereby award you this barnstar! Razorflame 13:39, 28 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks![change source]

...for my award. 'bout time (wink, wink). Man, Billy Graham is really weighing on my mind. I have spent upto... maybe 24 hours on that article. And it still has a wayz to go. Cheers and Thanks, AmericanEagle

If you want, it needs to be simplified. This is a list of pages I've made, the entire second half I made as red links for Billy Graham. If you have time, the article could use some simplifying (I'm only average at that). Cheers, AmericanEagle 01:53, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

New signature[change source]

It's time again for a new signature. However, this request will be different from my previous requests.

Darkish cyan to turquoise (ish)

or

Darkish cyan to medium lime green.

Darkish cyan to medium lime green:

Thanks much for both of them. I'll keep the first one for my sig after this next one and I'll use the second sig now. Thanks much.

Razorflame 20:07, 1 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Not a problem! Thanks for the cookie!--Lights Deleted? 20:09, 1 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I changed the cookie template so that my username appears inside of the template. Think you could figure out how to make that happen without substituion? If not, then I guess substitution is a must for that template. Cheers, Razorflame 20:12, 1 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
There's already an option for that. Use {{cookie|name=Razorflame}}.--Lights Deleted? 20:14, 1 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

(unindenting) Question: Can you make the first signature go from dark cyan to lime green please? Thanks, Razorflame 20:18, 1 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

To me, it looks dark cyan to lime green. However if you want I can tweak the colours by making them darker/lighter. Cheers,--Lights Deleted? 01:33, 2 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Never mind. I like the first one :) Cheers, Razorflame 13:54, 2 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm pretty sure List of characters in The Huntress is not notable. If you look at the user page of the person who created it, you'll understand. But please read the first few paragraphs of the user page. Oh and before I left you a comment about the users articles not being notable, but I deleted it when an admin deleted most of the articles.

Hello...[change source]

First time I've seen you on in a while. One: What is the point of a Bot, and who uses them? Two: Do you think that Charles Spurgeon is ready to become a "good article"? (the voting doesn't end for another two days) Cheers -- AmericanEagle 23:01, 9 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks... Different times than me? I'm on all day! Well, some of the day :) ! I created American EBot, but I'm not sure how to get it to work. Does it have to be approved first or something? Thanks for the vote! Cheers -- AmericanEagle 23:58, 9 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I removed it, and the TopBar. It made the thing all weird. Fixed. Goodnight Lights -- AmericanEagle 01:28, 10 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've been working on it here for a while. And I simplified it a ton. But Razorflame told me to come to you with help simplifying/copy editing. Can you look it over and help it out in that way (it's getting closer). Thanks -- AmericanEagle 22:03, 10 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Mayflower Compact[change source]

I have cut and pasted the article about the Mayflower Compact from the English Wikipedia.

It might have to be re-written in Simple English.

Mayflower Compact in Esperanto[change source]

In the Esperanto Vikipedio the Mayflower Compact is listed as Majfloro-interkonsento.

Please add that link to the other Wikipedias - if it has not already been done.

EoGuy (talk) 20:10, 14 May 2008 (UTC) EoGuy[reply]

On eoWP, eo:Majfloro-interkonsento is a redirect, so I think it's unnessicary to change it.--  Lights  talk  23:13, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please see it. Cheers, SwirlBoy39 00:26, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
