New timebox userbox

Hi, all. This notice is being placed at WP:Simple talk and on user talk pages of people transcluding {{User:Gwib/timebox}}.

I have built an updated timebox userbox. It is built from {{User:Gwib/timebox}}, but has some expanded functionality. You can find this userbox at {{User timebox2}}.

Clearing WP:VIP

Thanks for clearing VIP entries that I responded to. I'm not clear on how that works. Do we just remove them without archiving them somewhere? Is there a guideline for how soon to clear them after replying? Thanks. --Auntof6 (talk) 18:44, 13 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Just talk page stalking. You just remove them with no archiving. As for how soon that is really up to the individual. For example if I need to leave a comment I do it in the edit summary and just remove it right away. Others leave comments there on the page, as for how long to leave it. I say if its been more than an hour its probably ok to remove. Heck I would probably even remove it after 10 minutes since the page is about vandalism in progress. Whomever reported them will probably have seen the reply as soon as it was given. Just looking at the two you commented on you probably could have removed them when you saw them without even commenting on them (other than saying stale in the edit summary). They were 4.5 hours old so would have been stale by that point and not blockable since the vandalism would no longer have been ongoing. The IP locates to the exact same place as one I previously blocked for belonging to Aaqib, as well as having the exact same ISP. The IP's other contributions are also characteristic of those I have seen from Aaqib's account, and with these points in mind, I do not believe your assertion at all. However, the owner of the IP is, of course, free to request unblock via the {{unblock}} template if they wish for another administrator to review my action. -Mh7kJ (talk) 20:24, 16 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
