The 1962-63 Austrian Cup was Austria's nationwide football cup competition. FK Austria Wien were the defending champions. [1]

  2. SV Wattens believed because of the cold in Wattens in the morning (-24 degrees) it cannot be played in Salzburg in the afternoon and did not travel at all. In Salzburg, the temperatures in the afternoon were just below 0 degrees and were therefore quite regular. Referee Marschall declared the place playable. The game was certified for Austria Salzburg.
