Alparslan Baran (born 25 March 2005) is an Austrian football player. He plays as midfielder for FC Liefering in the Austrian 2. League.
Career
[change | change source]Baran began his career at ASV Bewegung Steyr. In September 2017 he moved to SK Vorwärts Steyr. For the 2018–19 season he came to the youth team of FC Red Bull Salzburg. He went through all age groups in the Red Bull Salzburg academy from the 2019–20 season. In February 2022 he was in the squad of FC Liefering for the first time. In this season he did not play. He made his debut in the 2nd division in April 2023. He came on in a substitute for Douglas Mendes against Floridsdorfer AC. He played three matches for Liefering. After the 2023/24 season, he left Salzburg.
After six months without a club, Baran moved to Turkey in January 2025. He moved to the third-division side Altınordu Izmir. He made three appearances for Altınordu in the TFF 2. Lig. In September 2025 he transferred to fourth-division side Zonguldak Kömürspor. He left Zonguldak in October 2025 without making a single league appearance. In January 2026, Baran returned to Austria . He now plays for the fourth-division side SK Vorwärts Steyr. [1]
International
[change | change source]Baran played for an Austrian U15 national team for the first time in October 2019. In April 2022 he made his debut against Romania in the U-17 team. He made his U-18 debut against Sweden in September 2022.
