"Best Thing I Never Had" is a 2011 song by Beyoncé and is the second single from her fourth studio album 4. It went to number 1 in Croatia and South Korea and went to the top 30 in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Japan, New Zealand, Portugal, Scotland, Slovakia, South Africa, the United Kingdom and the United States. The song is likened to the Vanessa Carlton song A Thousand Miles. It charted poorly in France where it made number 61.
