Christiane Amanpour

Christiane Maria Heideh Amanpour CBE (/ˌkrɪsiˈɑːn ˌɑːmənˈpʊər/ (audio speaker iconlisten); Persian: کریستین امان‌پور, romanized: Kristiane Amānpur; born 12 January 1958)[1] is a British-Iranian journalist and television host. Amanpour is the Chief International Anchor for CNN. She is the host of CNN International's interview show Amanpour. She is also the host of Amanpour & Company on PBS.

Amanpour was born in Ealing, Middlesex. She studied at the University of Rhode Island. From 1998 until 2018, she was married to James Rubin. They have one son, Darius.

In June 2021, Amanpour announced that she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer.[2]
