Codix Pharma is an African Health Technology Company headquartered in Ilupeju Lagos. It has several subsidiary companies. [1] It markets, distributes, and produces pharmaceutical and healthcare technology solutions.   It claims to be the fastest-growing indigenous pharmaceutical company in Nigeria, with operations spread across nine locations some of which include Ghana, UAE, and the UK.[2][3] In 2023 it started an In-Vitro Diagnostics factory. It aims to reduce dependence on imports. 99% of medical devices in Nigeria are imported.[4]

It works with the Olabisi Onabanjo University in Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State. to develop biosensors and nanotechnology courses.[5]

It set up The Codix Charity Foundation in 2022. It aims to put lifesaving medical devices within healthcare centers. It will also train healthcare professionals.[6]

Codix Pharma Ltd was established by Sammy Ogunjimi and incorporated in the year 2002.  In 2008, it commenced active operations with the launch of its flagship products; Glucodix tabs a brand of metformin and Finetest Auto-Coding Premium Blood Glucose Meter in Nigeria.[7]

In 2014, the company developed several own-brand labels in the cardiometabolic care range and expanded its presence with the launch of one of the first multi-functional immunoassay bio marker analyzers in Nigeria, a solution targeted at supporting the diagnosis of NCDs in Secondary and tertiary health facilities across the country.[8][9]

Codix Pharma Ltd’s products offerings and services are categorized into three:

Codix Specialties Products: a range of point-of-care devices for the diagnosis, screening, and monitoring of cardiometabolic and related diseases in patients. Some of these include Professional Medical Devices, Ethical Drugs, Anti-diabetics, and Rapid Diagnostic Test Kits.[10]

Consumer Products: These product ranges comprise supplements and point-of-care devices for monitoring blood sugar, blood pressure, and lipid profile amongst others, AND Supplements.[11] It produces glucose monitoring devices in Lagos.[12]

After-Sales Support: Codix Pharma Ltd has a team of technical experts who provide Aftersales Support to customers.[13]
