François Michelin

François Michelin (15 June 1926 – 29 April 2015) was a French heir and business executive. He served as the CEO of Michelin from 1955 to 1999.

Michelin was born in Clermont-Ferrand, Auvergne. His grandfather, Édouard Michelin (1859–1940), was the founder of Michelin. He became an orphan at the age of ten. He was a Roman Catholic. He had five children, including Édouard (1963–2006).

Michelin died on 29 April 2015 in Clermont-Ferrand, aged 88.[1]
