Garfield is a fictional character.[1] He is from the comic strip Garfield created by Jim Davis. Garfield is portrayed as a lazy and cynical orange cat. He loves lasagna and coffee. He hates Mondays, Nermal, and raisins.

Fictional biography[change | change source]

Garfield was born on June 19, 1978. From the moment he was born, he has loved lasagna. In almost every cartoon appearance, Garfield causes mischief. He did that in almost every episode of Garfield and Friends (1988-1995).

Name[change | change source]

Garfield was named after Jim Davis' grandfather, James Garfield Davis, who in turn was named after US President James A. Garfield.
