Garfield is a fictional character.[1] He is from the comic strip Garfield created by Jim Davis. Garfield is portrayed as a lazy and fat orange Persian/tabby cat. He loves lasagna and coffee. He hates Mondays, exercise, raisins and Nermal.

Fictional biography[change | change source]

Garfield was born on June 19, 1978. His 1st owner mamma leoni however got rid of him because of his appetite . From the moment he was born, he has loved lasagna. In almost every cartoon appearance, Garfield causes mischief. He did that in almost every episode of Garfield and Friends (1988-1995).

Name[change | change source]

Garfield was named after Jim Davis' grandfather, James Garfield Davis, who in turn was named after US President James A. Garfield.
