God of War III

God of War III is a 2010 hack and slash video game released on the PlayStation 3 and a sequel to 2007's God of War II.

Gameplay

Kratos can use the Blades of Exile for combinations, replacing his whirlpool magic attack with Spartan soldiers. Kratos can obtain red orbs to upgrade the Blades of Exile, and the other weapons he earns.

Plot

On the arm of Gaia, the embodiment of the earth, Kratos fights off skeleton minions of Hercules. Poseidon fights Kratos, but dies, flooding Olympus.

Kratos makes his way up to Olympus, but falls down to the underworld, and loses significant power from the River Styx.

Earning the new Blades of Exile, a stronger, more advanced version of the Blades of Athena, Kratos now has to find a way out of the Underworld and kill Hades.

He regains the Blade of Olympus, and must parkour to the Three Judges area.

Kratos has to do trials, and eventually has to face Hades. After fighting Hades, and dropping him into a hole, he earns the Claws Of Hades. However, Hades survived, but Kratos eventually kills him, causing souls in the underworld to become lost.

After breaking out of Hades' statue, he comes across Hephaestus again, and learns that he has a daughter, Pandora, who was captured by Zeus after Kratos killed Ares.
