Heat Wave (Mick Rory) is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The character was created by John Broome and Carmine Infantino, first appearing in The Flash #140 (1963).
Fictional character biography
[change | change source]He is a pyromaniac super-villain enemy to the Flash and a founding member of the Rogues. His handheld flamethrower produces enough heat to melt the Flash's boots. At a young age, Mick accidentally set his house on fire and rushed to safety without warning his parents, which led to them being killed. He developed a fascination and obsession with fire and started a criminal career, being the rival and friend of Captain Cold. He has been a member of Project Cadmus, the Secret Society of Super-Villains, the Legion of Doom, and the Legends (in the Arrowverse).
