Paul Thomas Anderson (born June 26, 1970)[1][2] is an American movie director, screenwriter and producer. His movies were nominated for 25 Academy Awards.

His best known movie was Boogie Nights (1997). His 2007 movie There Will Be Blood is seen as one of the best movies of the 2000s.[3]

Anderson's other movies include Magnolia (1999), Punch-Drunk Love (2002), The Master (2012), Inherent Vice (2014), and Phantom Thread (2017).
