"Started from the Bottom" is the first single off Canadian rapper Drake's third studio album Nothing Was the Same. The song was released on February 1, 2013.

On February 10, 2013, a music video for the song was released. It featured Drake riding in a Bentley convertible, working at a Shoppers Drug Mart with friends, bowling, standing on a "Started from the Bottom" billboard, riding in a plane over Toronto and partying in the Dominican Republic.[1]

The song was nominated for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance at the 56th Grammy Awards but lost both to Macklemore's Thrift Shop.[2]
