This article has been the subject of a dispute between administrators. This dispute largely focused on the use of an image/graphic to illustrate the concept. The image used in the first place was of a very poor quality, bordering on tastelessness in the views of many editors. It was replaced by a line-graphic. This line-graphic was also removed later on, because the content could be sufficiently described with words. Should the article survive the current RFD, I would like to urge all editors to be extremely careful when they try to add an image or graphic, as this will likely cause widespread discussion. --Eptalon (talk) 13:24, 28 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Eptalon, could you try and be a bit more careful here, you are coming close to leaving yourself open to accusations of acting as though you own the encyclopaedia. At the very least, it should be stressed the above is the opinion of one editor among many. For every editor who thought the image (public domain, incidentally) was tasteless, many others thought it suitable as it illustrated the subject. However, even if we agree to censor the article by not allowing the image, I don't think any editor has expressed a concern with the line draining, and I can't understand why they would Soup Dish (talk) 14:16, 28 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, let's put it differently. The dispute about the article mainly focused on a photo. Some people, me included think that that photo was ill-suited to illustrate the concept at hand. For this reason, I have replaced said photo with a line graphic. Following some discussion on the Admin noticeboard, the point was brought up that the concept as it stands may not need illustration by a graphic at all, as it can be sufficiently explained by text alone. Following that argument, with which I personally agree, I removed the graphic depiction as well. It has now been re-added. The idea of the message above was to simply alert future editors that placing an image/graphic might be a cause for controversy. --Eptalon (talk) 15:33, 28 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
