It is not a religion, it is a comic group, according to articles in other languages.

Anyone reading this article should know that this church is sort of a joke, but the people who believe in it have a lot of fun with it. I dont think its meant to be taken really seriously. it may be like professional wrestling, where the people involved sort of know its a game, but like to pretend its real for the fun of it. i hope someone can write a better article that is more honest and shows good references other than the church's own website.
