Too complex[change source]

Is this written so thay our kind of readers can take it in? Doubtful, Macdonald-ross (talk) 16:47, 30 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Reminder[change source]

@Eptalon since you've recently participated in Wikipedia:Feminism and Folklore 2024 and only a day is left I thought of reminding you that this article is an Orphan so link it somewhere to its related pages in order for it to get through. Kind regards✌🏻

Preliminary evaluation[change source]

@Eptalon: Welcome, Feminism and Folklore contestant! Unlike usual, I began by reading this article with my squishy human brain. I concur with our able colleague MacDonald-ross. This article has many places where it would benefit from simplification. Words like "established" and "innovation" could be replaced. I have been advising your fellow contestants to, instead of linking a complex word, pipe-link it with its explanation, like this [[fancy word|whichever translation of the fancy word is best for this article]]. I do this all the time with Froggy of the Day: "This frog is about 22 mm long [[snout-vent length|from nose to rear end]]." ("Snout-vent length" is a specific term used by scientists.)

I will now run the text of this article through my readability gizmo for a more quantifiable assessment! I'm getting nothing under tenth grade with an average of eleventh. Yes, it's too complex.

I also see it's a translation from the German Wikipedia. Please confirm that you translated it from this specific version of the article that you link in your change description: [1]. I have added the translation template above.

Ayesha46 is right. We're not supposed to give points to orphan articles.

The biggest problem is the choice of topic. This isn't about a piece of folklore. It merely mentions fairy tales once. It's about a theory of psychology or social science. Darkfrog24 (talk) 23:55, 30 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

hello Darkfrog24. I will fix the issues of course. I translated from German for two reasons: First of all, the original publication seems to be in German, and secondly, the Enwp article is more of a literature study, and more work to simplify ... Eptalon (talk) 02:34, 31 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Your choice of source wiki is not a problem. You just need to put the tag up to show it's a translation. This was a new process for the other contestants.
The big thing you need to do is establish what this concept has to do with either feminism, folklore, or folk culture. Darkfrog24 (talk) 03:08, 31 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
