Current event or not[change source]

@Naleksuh: I am not sure we should stop considering the killing of George Floyd a current event. Even if we consider the killing completely separate from the George Floyd protests, the trials of the men who killed him are still pending and updates appear in the news. Civil suit[change source]

Page title needs references[change source]

Hello all, I know that the topic is controversial, and racism may play a part. I do however want to point out that DEWP still speaks about "Tötung" (Killing), and not "Mord" (murder) of G.F. Since this is controversial, it would be good to confirm the article title with references. At least here in Europe, murder requires intent and planning. Yes. The article contains many sources that establish that Chauvin was formally accused and convicted of murder. However, not all types of killing recognized as murder in the U.S. require intent. Chauvin was convicted of murder. George Floyd was murdered. This is a legal finding and based in reality, renaming it any other way short of his conviction being vacated would violate the requirement to be neutral and factual. Praxidicae (talk) 19:38, 1 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Leads don't generally have sourcing since they are a summary of what the article says, and if you think that the article doesn't adequately cover that this was a murder, I really don't know what to tell you other than this seems like picking a fight for no reason.
