List of historians by country[change source]

I don't know how I missed it but there is an existing List of historians by country. Just wondering what I should do now. Any thoughts? Ottawahitech (talk) 15:40, 18 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I'll suggest consolidating these pages but not yet sure how. Being a list article it will require manual setup and maintenance - and I'm not sure "country" is the most relevant characteristic by which to sort historians. Surely field of study is more so? What do you think of using the EN WP List of historians by area of study and trimming away most/all of the red links here? I'd even go so far as to re-sort by the historian's DOB to put in a chronological perspective, but having worked in a Holocaust history museum archive, I've formed a perhaps unconventional orientation towards information presentation. (And it's good to be back; I'll be glad to collaborate on contributions when I can. Often I'm behind the scenes in Wikidata, e.g. linking new or neglected items. Deborahjay is correct, a list of historians by country is not a very useful list. Look to en for more appropriate lists such as the one she mentions. -DJSasso (talk) 12:26, 21 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
