I'm sorry now that I ever discovered this page, because the long second section seems so difficult. I think what the reader needs to know is already done in the short first section. FRWP has this translation of Saint Jerome. The work of Saint Jerome (4th century) is that he began the Vulgata, which is the official Latin text. FRWP cites the few paragrpaths and adds a French translation (doesn't look like the official French version, rather, a more or less literal translation). I added the few sentences, with a translatio to English (yes, I know it was jus me translating, far from an official English translation).
