Pearl diving and slavery[change source]

In response to this revert: How pearls have been found and produced (by pearl divers, many who were enslaved) is obviously relevant to an article about pearls. Please note that the user who reverted this edit regularly spends time patrolling my edits, arguing that slavery and colonialism are irrelevant to topics where those who are familiar with the topic know they are quite relevant. This patrolling began after a failed attempt to have this page deleted. DoSazunielle (talk) 02:31, 13 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Let's just stick to the content; that would be more helpful at reaching a resolution here. This is an article about a material. I'm sure pretty much every material mankind has ever farmed, mined, or otherwise retrieved has been done so by enslaved people at some point or another. I don't see how that is relevant to this article, particularly in its short state. The very long enwiki article mentions the word "slave" exactly once, for a different purpose to what has been added here. --IWI (talk) 02:36, 13 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
