Here are some things I found that should be fixed:

  • There are currently 20 redlinks, which I think is a little much for a GA.
Done Only seven now. Deleted the ones in the refs. I will continue to create the remaining. mccon99 13:46, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Screeching Weasel" is linked in the last section, "Music style and inspiration", but not in the second section, "Early years (1999–2003)". It should be linked on its first usage.
 Done mccon99 13:46, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Same with "Revolutions per Minute"
Its already linked in Early Years. There's nothing to fix. Unless you mean in a different section? mccon99 13:46, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
That's weird. I thought it was linked in the last section "Music style and inspiration" but not in the section "Early years...". I have absolutely no idea how I misread it. Megan|talkchanges 17:53, 3 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Then I guess its  Done mccon99 21:30, 4 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • You don't need to link "RIAA", as it is already linked as "Recording Industry Association of America"
 Done mccon99 17:40, 3 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • In the references "Punknews.org" is overlinked.
 Done mccon99 13:46, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • All of the following are overlinked: punk rock (punk doesn't need to be linked, as it redirects to punk rock), Tim Mcllrath, Brandon Barnes, Zach Blair, EP, DVD, Siren Song of the Counter Culture, The Sufferer & the Witness, Appeal to Reason, North America, Billboard 200, Re-Education (Through Labor), The Unraveling, Revolutions per Minute, AFI, Allmusic, Europe (same thing with European), Australia (same thing with Australian, Killswitch Engage, and Billy Talent
I feel its good to link the same page about once per section. It allows the reader to find the link easier. If the reader wants to read just one section, there's the link, he needs not to scroll up the page and waste time looking for it. I don't think this gos against any wiki rules. mccon99 13:46, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
According to enwiki, overlinking should be avoided. A word that is linked should only be linked once. See en:Wikipedia:Linking#Overlinking Megan|talkchanges 17:53, 3 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
But does Simple follow those rules? I know Simple follows some of en's rules, but not all. mccon99 20:59, 3 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry for responding late. According to the Simple English MoS page, it says Only link a word the first time it is used in the article, but do not link the same word more than once in an article. (Sorry for not using the Simple English guideline the first time regarding this, I didn't realize that they had something on links). Megan|talkcontribs 17:46, 8 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
np. I think I got them all. But probably not. I'm terrible trying to do thinks like this. ;p mccon99 13:54, 9 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Date formats are mixed in refs 4–6, 8–14, 16–31, and 33–43
 Done Ι-ση // ταlκ ραgeψ 13:26, 8 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • The website in the "Other websites" section should use the {{Cite web}} template

I've changed it to a citeweb template. Classical Esther 13:08, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • "All of the members are straight edge (except Barnes), PETA helpers." This should have a ref
 Done mccon99 17:33, 3 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • "They are also vegetarians (vegans)." Same with this one
 Done mccon99 17:33, 3 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Meganmccarty  16:02, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Megan's already pointed this out as needing a source, but I think this is a confusing sentence: All of the members are straight edge (except Barnes), PETA helpers. It's complex, in my mind. Additionally, wikilinks are needed there. Either way (talk) 13:56, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Either way raises a valid point. Also, is there a reason why all the quotes are italicized? Classical Esther 23:59, 5 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Comments[change source]

  • What is "are straight edge"?
Done Linked it. 17:18, 3 May 2010 (UTC)
  • vegetarian isn't the same as vegan.
Fixed The source's title mentions "vegans", not vegetarians. —Classical Esthertalk 04:46, 2 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • As of 2009? We're nearly halfway through 2010...
I'm afraid I don't understand. They haven't released a new album for awhile now, thus I can't really find any new info on them. I-on/talk/book/sand 17:18, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • "to the lone record label" why "lone"?

 Done I-on/talk/book/sand 14:32, 13 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Don't think linking number is appropriate.
 FixedClassical Esthertalk 04:25, 2 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Genre (in infobox) says "melodic hardcore" - what does that mean?
Fixed Created a quick page and linked it in the infobox. —Classical Esthertalk 04:59, 2 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Why link writing and not full-length?
  • What does "in helping roles" mean?
  • Are albums in italics or not? Be consistent.

  • Numbers below 10 should be written in words, i.e. three out of five.

 Done I-on/talk/book/sand 18:05, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • "best performances are performances" don't repeat performances...

 Done I-on/talk/book/sand 18:05, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Tours should either be named in quotes or not, be consistent.
  • "their first big tour" I know this is Simple but what's a "big tour"?
  • "Rise Against MADE an EP in Canada titled" why MADE? And didn't they "record" it in Canada rather than "MADE" it there?
 FixedClassical Esthertalk 04:19, 2 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Link dates in the references? No thanks.
I don't know how to fix this. They looked linked in the ref section but when I edit the ref, the access date isn't linked. I apologize (as there is probably a simple solution) I-on/talk/book/sand 03:37, 6 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Ref 17 seems to have a bare URL.
 Done I-on/talk/book/sand 13:52, 6 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Date formats in the references should be consistent, e.g. look at ref 25 vs ref 26 vs ref 33.
 Done I-on/talk/book/sand 03:37, 6 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • No spaced dashes, try spaced en-dashes or em-dashes.
  • New York Times is actually The New York Times.

'And, Rise Against helped out in the 2003 "Warped Tour."[7]'. <-- Is it possible to reword this? It sounds a bit awkward. —Classical Esthertalk 04:22, 2 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, never mind, as I've just reworded it. :) Good work with the article everyone! —Classical Esthertalk 08:08, 6 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have one major problem with the rise against title for years and i did wanted tell that i gave in the evidence to back it up vandalizing the title was the only way to get your attention for that refuse to listen my evidence was mainly to prove that rise against is a Chicago - based punk rock band it says it in a lot of articles that i can find i can even give 20 or 10 evidence if i have to if you give me the chance if not then well i will forget my obsession and fnally after all these yeas i"ll understand.--Underoath99 (talk) 07:58, 31 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Where is the evidence? If you cannot give any reliable source here, your words mean nothing. Chenzw  Talk  08:20, 31 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
