Greetings F&F 2024 participant! I will begin this preliminary evaluation with my readability gizmo. It is giving me readings no younger than ninth grade with an average of eleventh. That generally means the article is too complex for SEWP.

I will now examine the entry with my squishy human brain. My brain agrees. "Influenced," "adopted," "originates," "symbolic story," could all be simpler. One way to simplify a text is to switch most of this passive voice to active. That requires you to know the identity of the agent.

As in other articles, there's a lot of excessive linking. 1) You don't need to link the same word more than once and 2) instead of linking a complex word, pipe-link and explain: "This frog is 22 mm long [[snout-vent length|from nose to rear end]]."

This article is not an orphan and the choice of topic is good, but in its current state, I would disqualify for complex English. Darkfrog24 (talk) 20:02, 23 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the detailed review, @Darkfrog24. I've gone through the entire article, simplified complex words, and fixed the issue of excessive linking. I believe it should be good now. – Cyber.Eyes2005Talk 21:04, 23 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Cyber.Eyes.2005@Darkfrog24 - I also ran some scripts to fix dashes, white spacing and removing contractions (per our policy on simple english, we don't use contractions), so isn't is now "is not." Thanks - PDLTalk to me!Please don't eat da 🐑! 21:12, 23 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Gizmo says you're as young as seventh grade with an average of eighth. I will now examine the article with my brain. Darkfrog24 (talk) 22:34, 23 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
