Just a comment that this phenomenon is much broader than feigning death. and hence the title should not be changed despite English wiki. Furthermore, the trance is an observable phenomenon, whereas feigning death is just one explanation of the phenomenon.Macdonald-ross (talk) 17:11, 14 August 2013 (UTC)
No need to draw a line from the beak[change source]
Take a chicken and lay it down on its back and hold it there for a short while (gently). As long as nothing is happening to disturb the chicken, it will lay there for some time.
