"The A Team" is a 2011 debut single by English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran and is the lead single from his debut album +. It went to the top 10 in Australia, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Scotland and the United Kingdom and peaked at number 16 in the United States. It deals with a prostitute addicted to drugs and homelessness. The song was nominated for an Grammy Award in 2013.
