The Lost Weekend is a 1945 American drama movie directed by Billy Wilder and was based on the 1944 novel of the same by Charles R. Jackson. It stars Ray Milland, Jane Wyman, Phillip Terry, Doris Dowling, Howard Da Silva, Frank Faylen, Lilian Fontaine, Frank Orth and was distributed by Paramount Pictures. It won 4 Academy Awards in 1946 and was nominated for 3 others.
