Theodore Meir Bikel (born May 2, 1924) is an Austrian-American actor, singer, and musician. He was nominated for an Academy Award as Sheriff Max Muller in The Defiant Ones in 1958.

Bikel was born in Vienna, Austria on May 2, 1924.[1] He studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. Bikel was married to Ofra Ichilov from 1942 until they divorced in 1943. Then he was married to Rita Weinberg Call from 1967 until they divorced in 2008. Then he was married to Tamara Brooks from 2008 until her death in 2012. He had two children with Call.
