Threads is an social media that is owned by Meta Platforms. One day after its release, Threads reached the mark of 30 million users.[1][2] It works similar to Twitter, and it is known as its killer.[3]

Threads works "adjacent" to Instagram, as the users need to have an Instagram account and use the same name.[4] When Elon Musk bought Twitter in 2022, the workers of Meta talked about the creation of "Instagram Notes", a text-based feature of Instagram. They also talked about creating a separate and text-focused app, that gave a rise to the idea of creation of Threads.[5]
