"Three Cigarettes in an Ashtray" is the second single off of American country singer Patsy Cline's first studio album Patsy Cline. The song was released on August 12, 1957.

To promote the song, Billboard published an entire page advertisement in their magazine for it.[1]

In the song, Cline songs about being in a relationship with a man. While at a small cafe, another woman enters the scene and steals Cline's boyfriend away from her. She then sits in loneliness while thinking about the love she lost.

The song appears on the K-Rose radio station in the 2004 video game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.[2]
