Tipton St John is a village in the parish of Ottery St Mary in the county of Devon in England. About 350 people live there. The village is near the River Otter.

The Tipton St Johns railway station closed in 1967.

The village has a pub called The Golden Lion.

The village primary school has 97 students and 16 staff. It is run by Devon County Council.[1]

The post office closed down in 2008.
